EC MotoGymkhana 2026 

The 2026 European MotoGymkhana Championship will take place at the Circuit Jules Tacheny in Mettet, Belgium, from June 26 to 28, 2026.

The event will welcome riders and accompanying persons in a sporty and friendly atmosphere while respecting the circuit facilities and local neighborhood.

🍔 Catering

Friday and Saturday evening meals are available at a price of €18 per person, per meal.

Accompanying persons are naturally welcome under the same conditions and pricing.

During lunchtime, several food trucks will be available on site throughout the weekend. Payments can be made in cash or electronically.

🚿 Available Facilities

Toilets and showers will be available free of charge throughout the event.

Electricity will be available for the use of tire warmers. Please bring a standard power adapter to connect your equipment.

⛺ On-site Accommodation

It is possible to stay overnight on site during the event weekend.

The organization will adapt according to the number of participants and logistical requirements. Participants wishing to stay on site are requested to inform the organization in advance via:

⚠️ It is not allowed to place tent pegs into the paddock surface.

Participants staying overnight will be grouped in a dedicated area.

🚐 Parking & Paddock

A free parking area will be available for participants.

A real paddock village will be organized to provide everyone with a practical and secure space for:

• motorcycles,
• tools,
• accessories,
• equipment.

In general, each allocated space includes:

• one vehicle,
• one tent/canopy.

The paddock will be directly connected to the riding area and will benefit from the same high-quality asphalt as the track itself.

⚠️ This infrastructure must be treated with the utmost respect.

Traffic on site must remain at low speed and fully respect all safety rules.

🔒 Motorcycle & Equipment Security

The site will be closed during the night.

Participants may leave motorcycles and equipment on site throughout the weekend, but entirely at their own responsibility.

⚠️ No guarding or dedicated security service will be provided by the organization.

We strongly recommend using your own security devices:

• locks,
• chains,
• padlocks,
• alarm systems.

1. Registration / Check-In

The event will take place on Friday 26 June, Saturday 27 June and Sunday 28 June 2026 at Circuit Jules Tacheny de Mettet, Belgium. The circuit is located at Rue Saint-Donat 6B, 5640 Mettet, Belgium.

• All Riders must register before the event by completing the online registration form and providing all information requested by the Organisers.
• The number of Riders allowed to participate is not limited; Riders are therefore encouraged to register as early as possible.
• The registration fee is EUR 195. Registration and payment are completed online. Each registered Rider may receive a personal invoice upon request. In the event of cancellation, registration fees are non-refundable (except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Organisers).
• On Friday or Saturday morning, registered Riders must report to the Main Tent in order to receive their starting number and the corresponding identification item (motorcycle sticker).
• The identification item is mandatory during the Competition phase, including practice sessions, but may be omitted during free practice days.
• If two or more Riders share the same motorcycle, they must inform the Organisers as soon as possible (preferably during online registration) so that their starting numbers are separated by at least ten positions in the starting order.

1.1 Site Opening Hours

The event site will be accessible according to the following schedule:

• Thursday 25 June 2026: 18:00 – 22:00 (arrival and setup only)
• Friday 26 June 2026: 08:00 – 21:00
• Saturday 27 June 2026: 08:00 – 21:00
• Sunday 28 June 2026: 08:00 – 21:00

Access outside these hours is not permitted unless expressly authorised by the Organisers.

2. Licences and Other Documents

• All Riders must sign a Liability Waiver confirming that they accept full responsibility for their actions and participate in the event with full awareness of the risks involved.
• During registration, all Riders must provide the contact details of an emergency contact person.
• The Liability Waiver shall be completed and signed during on-site registration.
• Any Rider who has not signed the Liability Waiver shall not be admitted and shall not be permitted to participate in any event activity.

2.1 Insurance

An optional personal accident insurance policy will be offered to Riders at the start of the event for an additional fee. Riders are strongly encouraged to subscribe to this coverage.

Should a Rider choose not to purchase this additional insurance, this decision shall be clearly recorded on the signed Liability Waiver.

The signed Liability Waiver constitutes the Rider’s full acceptance of the limitation of liability applicable upon entry to the event.

2.2 Personal Data & GDPR

All Riders are required to sign a consent form regarding the processing of their personal data.

The data collected during registration shall be used solely for the organisation and management of the event.

• Retention period: duration of the event plus six months, after which all data will be permanently deleted.
• Riders have the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of their personal data at any time by contacting the DPO directly.

All Riders must also sign a consent form regarding photographs and video recordings taken during the event that may be publicly distributed.

3. Technical Requirements

All Riders are guests of the Mettet XP facility and must conduct themselves accordingly in order to remain welcome for future events.Mettet XP has its own internal regulations. In addition, MotoGymkhana-specific rules apply in order to ensure the safe conduct of the event.The Organisers reserve the right to refuse participation to any motorcycle that does not comply with the technical requirements set out in these Regulations.All registered motorcycles must comply with the minimum safety requirements described below.

All motorcycles must be presented to the Technical Inspector on Friday or Saturday morning for Technical Inspection.Following a successful inspection, two numbered stickers corresponding to the Rider’s competition number will be issued and must be displayed in clearly visible locations on the motorcycle. Any motorcycle not displaying these stickers will not be permitted access to the riding areas under any circumstances.

• The motorcycle must be in good mechanical condition.
• The motorcycle must be equipped with a functional braking system and an operational brake light.
• All motorcycles must be fitted with a self-closing throttle.
• Original manufacturer primary drive covers, or equivalent protective components, must remain installed.
• Fluid leaks are not permitted. In the event of a leak, the Rider must immediately leave the practice or competition area and may only return once the issue has been fully resolved.
• If the motorcycle operates with an elevated idle speed (more than 50% above the manufacturer's specifications), a kill-switch lanyard must be used.
• The motorcycle’s standard engine stop switch must operate according to factory specifications.
• Noise levels will be monitored throughout the event. The maximum permitted sound level is 94 dB. Any motorcycle exceeding this limit may be required to take corrective action or may be disqualified.
• Crash protection devices must be suitable for asphalt use and must not present sharp edges or hazards to the Rider. Outer surfaces should preferably be made of plastic material.
• Tyres must be road-legal. Slick tyres are prohibited.
• Tyre warmers are permitted during both practice sessions and competition.
• Burnouts, wheelies and stunt riding are prohibited.
• Mirrors and indicators may be removed or covered with adhesive tape.

4. Paddock Regulations

A camping area is available on site for Riders and their teams.

Participants’ vehicles, including vans and trailers, are permitted within the paddock area, provided that these Regulations are respected.

All vehicles must be parked responsibly so as not to obstruct access roads, emergency routes, or neighbouring participants.

• If Riders work with fluids in the paddock, the work area must be equipped with a protective environmental mat (rubber-backed) to prevent any contact between spilled fluids and the paddock surface. No technical work, maintenance, repairs, adjustments or fluid handling may be carried out unless the motorcycle is positioned on an approved protective mat.
• It is recommended that each Rider have a fire extinguisher available within their paddock area. This requirement is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged given the nature of the event.
• If a Rider erects a tent in the paddock, it must be sufficiently weighted or secured to ensure stability under all weather conditions. Tents may not be fixed to the ground by drilling, anchoring, staking, or any other method that could damage the surface.
• Open flames are prohibited within the paddock area. This includes barbecues, camping gas equipment and any naked flame.
• Motorcycle movement outside designated riding areas must not exceed 10 km/h. A helmet must be worn at all times when riding a motorcycle. The Organisers reserve the right to sanction any Rider who fails to wear a helmet.
• The Organisers accept no responsibility for items left unattended in the paddock.

5. Safety Regulations

Riders are responsible for their own safety as well as the safety of others.

5.1 Medical Services

Throughout the event, including practice sessions and all other activities, a qualified medical team will be present on site.

This team consists of one qualified physician and two certified nurses.

The medical station will be located within the Main Tent and will be clearly identified. A first-aid kit will also be available at the Main Tent.

In the event of an emergency, the on-site medical team must be notified immediately.

If the medical team is unavailable, or in the event of a major emergency, all participants must call the European emergency number:

5.2 Evacuation & Safety Briefing

Site-specific evacuation procedures and safety instructions will be communicated to all Riders and participants during the mandatory safety briefing.

Attendance at the safety briefing is mandatory for all Riders.

Any Rider who has not attended the safety briefing shall not be permitted access to the riding areas.

5.3 Protective Clothing & Equipment

• Riders must wear a protective helmet at all times when riding a motorcycle. The helmet must be approved for road use. Open-face helmets are strictly prohibited; only full-face helmets are permitted.
• All Riders must wear suitable protective clothing, including gloves and protective equipment for the elbows, shoulders and knees.
• Motorcycle boots covering at least the ankle are mandatory.
• The use of leather protective equipment is strongly recommended, particularly for trousers, due to its superior abrasion resistance in the event of a fall.

Any protective equipment deemed inadequate by the Organisers may result in the Rider being refused participation until suitable equipment is provided.

6. Competition Runs

• Each Rider shall complete two timed runs of the competition course.
• The best time achieved, including penalties, shall determine the final result.
• Electronic timing equipment shall be used to determine the results. In the event of a system failure, at least one Timekeeper equipped with manual timing equipment must be present to record the run time.

7. Competition Rules

General MotoGymkhana rules apply. All Riders must behave responsibly and must not endanger their own safety or that of other Riders.

7.1 Starting Procedure

• Following course inspection, a waiting period of fifteen (15) minutes shall be observed before the first Rider starts.
• During this period, the first Rider and the next two Riders in the starting order shall be permitted access to the GP8 area.
• Riders shall attempt the course in reverse order of registration numbers. The Organisers reserve the right to alter the starting order if necessary.
• A maximum of two Riders may be on the course at the same time.
• Riders must be ready when called without delay. Failure to report to the start area when called shall result in disqualification of the corresponding run unless the Chief Judge has been informed in advance of a short technical delay.

7.2 Course Rules

• Cones shall be colour-coded to indicate the direction of travel; the Adachi© system applies.
• No practice attempts are permitted on the course, including during breaks.
• The course layout and route shall be provided on a course map issued to each Rider. The course must be completed in the order shown on the map. All obstacles must be attempted.
• Course inspection shall last forty-five (45) minutes and may only be conducted on foot.
• Foot dabs are permitted only within obstacles marked “Foot OK” on the course map.
• The finish box must be reached at the end of the course and the motorcycle must come to a complete stop within the marked boundaries.
• If a Rider touches the start line and triggers the timing system before their turn, the run shall be considered started and the timer shall not be reset.
• If a Rider crashes and decides not to continue, the timer shall be stopped and the Rider shall be given sufficient time to leave the course safely.
• If a Rider crashes and the following Rider approaches before the run has resumed, the following Rider’s timer shall be stopped and reset. That Rider shall be allowed to restart at a time determined by the Jury.
• If a Rider misses a cone or an entire section of the course, they may return and attempt it again. However, this may only be done once per obstacle section (circle, pac-man, figure-eight, jinx, etc.).
• Upon completion of the run, the Rider shall return to the rider area via the designated exit route.

7.3 Classifications

All Riders compete on the same course.

Separate classifications shall be established as follows:

• Overall Classification
• Category Classification (Red, Blue, Green and Yellow)
• Women's Classification
• Engine Capacity or Equivalent Power Classification

Category classifications are defined according to Rider speed level as follows:

• Red: fastest Riders
• Blue: intermediate Riders
• Green: beginner-intermediate Riders
• Yellow: slowest Riders / beginners

Category assignment shall be determined by the Organisers based on the Rider’s declared experience and/or results obtained in previous competitions. The top three Riders in each classification shall receive an award. A Rider may be eligible for multiple classifications. Times and penalties shall be published at the Jury Desk. All final decisions rest with the Jury.

7.4 Penalties

1-Second Penalty

• Knocked-over cone (no penalty if the cone is touched and returns to its original position; displaced cone = 1.0-second penalty)
• Dab

3-Second Penalty

• Off-line passage within a jink obstacle
• Leaving the course boundaries
• Paddle
• Leaving the boundaries of the finish box
• Motorcycle or Rider falling outside the marked finish-box area

Run Disqualification

• Missed obstacle
• Obstacle completed in the wrong direction
• Failure to stop within the finish box

No time penalty shall be applied for a fall.
